Point Pinole Regional Shoreline is a beautiful regional park with a fishing pier and rocky beach. The trail is flat and good for walking any time of the year. There are two access points to start from: Atlas Bridge and Giant Highway. The Atlas Bridge parking lot has flush toilets and picnic tables while Giant Highway parking lot has vault toilets and no tables. There’s also a shuttle for those who want to go straight to the pier. East Bay Regional Park has a trail challenge every year and one of the features hikes of 2020 is the Point Pinole/Cooks Point/Marsh/Owl Alley/China Cove/Pinole Point/Bay View Trails. It is around four miles long and rated easy. This is a very popular trail for people with dogs.
