Sunol Regional Wilderness

Sunol Regional Wilderness is a popular spot for locals especially in the summer when there’s water.  There’s a watering hole area called Little Yosemite where people come to swim and hang out with their friends and family.  To get to Little Yosemite area, park at the last parking lot and take the Camp Ohlone Road trail.  To make an easy 2 mile round trip loop, you can start near the visitor center and  take Canyon View Trail -> Camp Ohlone Road.   The visitor center has a dress up area, animals, and descriptions of other trails you can take.  Remember to bring sunscreen and a hat because there is no shade.  Also, the Little Yosemite area is bone dry in the fall so best time to go is spring and early summer.
